James 1:23-25 says: "23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer,he is like a man who looks intently at his NATURAL FACE in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law,the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts,he will be blessed in his doing." Thoughts and rants to help to encourage you to live a live of supernatural action for Jesus....NOT NATURAL

Jesus Rules!
Man, I can't say it enough, Jesus is awesome! The last few months have been really hard for my family and for most families living here in Michigan. But you know, the Lord never fails. This post is sort of an extension of the last one, but I have to give praise and credit to the one who sustains.
The Lord has blessed even more than I can imagine. We sort of get in this rut thinking that blessings come in the form of money and while that is true, it's not the only form of blessing.
Blessings can come in the form of money, time, health, family, struggle, peace, hurt and the list could go on.
Yes even things that might seem hard to go through can indeed be a blessing, although we may not see it as such until after we have gone through it.
I'm reminded of the song "Count your blessings" it says "name them one by one, count your many blessing, see what God has done!" Go ahead take time to think about all the blessings that God has given you, and not just the monetary ones. Maybe even write them down. I bet you'll be surprised at the length of the list.

Great job quoting the hymnal on that one. I know what you're talking about, though. I shouldn't be happy right now based, at least based on the worldly norm, but I can't help but be happy about everything God's doing.
oddly enough I didn't have to refer to a hymnal to get the lyrics correct. Must be too many years in a Baptist church. ;o)
I think we can find joy in just about anything, even the really hard stuff. God's always working for our good, and that's something we can all take comfort and joy in.
